Maurice Gothe, pronounced Gotch, was born in Germany and relocated to Virginia around the age of nine. During high school, he participated in baseball and basketball, eventually continuing to pursue baseball as an undergraduate. He attended Hampden-Sydney College, where he focused on Foreign Affairs for his major and German for his minor. Later, he earned his Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University.
Before he became a member of Portner & Shure, Maurice gained practical experience through internships at the Chesterfield Public Defenders Office and the Civil Litigation Clinic at NCCU.
In his leisure time, he enjoys reading, playing video games, working out at the gym, golfing, and watching anime.
