Elizabeth has been with the firm for 10 years. She was born in El Salvador and came to the USA speaking no English while just 14 years old. Elizabeth understands how difficult it can be for Spanish-speaking accident victims or criminal defendants to get fair treatment under the law.
Elizabeth’s climb to management of the law firm is the classic example of what all of us should do when given an opportunity.
Elizabeth began as a receptionist. Within two years, she was a legal assistant and within three years a Paralegal. Since then, she has been the firm’s top performing paralegal every year. Two years ago, she was given the Virginia Tyson’s Corner office to develop and run. The office alone now accounts for a quarter of the firm’s total revenue. While she remains based there, due to her success, the firm has promoted her to Regional Office Manager. In this capacity, Elizabeth is in charge of running all five staffed offices – Richmond, Tyson’s, Columbia, Frederick, and Bel Air – and the Spanish department’s 30+ employees, meetings at all the 20+ satellite offices, as well as the firm’s social media and video campaigns.
For her paralegal work, the firm recognized Elizabeth with our top two paralegal awards: “2016 Top Paralegal in Virginia” and “Million Dollar Paralegal Forum.” In fact, in each of the last five years, Elizabeth’s desk has recovered approximately $1,000,000 dollars from the major insurance carriers.Elizabeth continually strives for the best results for both her clients and herself. She came to the firm with a sincere desire to help people and has since helped thousands of Spanish-speaking accident victims. Her compassion and tenacity are an asset to all her clients as well as Portner & Shure. Clients continue to give Elizabeth the highest ratings after working with her. As a result, the firm recognized Elizabeth with its top service award last year “2016 Client Choice Award for Exceptional Service.” Her countless five-star reviews can be seen throughout our Google+ pages and the firm Facebook page.
