Heather Jung

Paralegal
Locations Served:
  • Vienna

Heather S. Jung has been with the firm for three years as a Korean personal injury paralegal serving Maryland and Virginia. Heather came to the United States from South Korea in 1998. Upon her arrival, she spoke no English. Nevertheless, she quickly succeeded and as a result, went to and graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park Honors Program with a degree in Japanese Studies/Arts and Humanities.

As a young Korean American who immigrated to the United States speaking no English, Heather had to overcome tremendous adversity. She, therefore, can relate to the difficulties that our Korean-speaking clients face when encountering the American legal system for the first time. Heather now takes pride in the fact that she can give back to the Maryland and Virginia Korean communities. As a result of her life experiences, her education and desire to help the Korean community, Portner and Shure's Korean- and Japanese-speaking clients have a tremendous asset on their side.

Heather now handles a full docket of cases as a Paralegal. She negotiates with all major insurance carriers and works directly with Mr. Portner.
