Ms. Ashraf received her Bachelor’s degree from George Mason University and her law degree from the University of Baltimore School Of Law. During law school, she served as a board member of the Moot Court program, Associate Editor for the Journal of International Law, and a competitor on the National Moot Court Team.
As a law student, Ms. Ashraf was an intern to the Honorable Leo E. Green, Jr., of the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County and an intern for the National Institute of Standards & Technology, Office of Chief Counsel. Following her internships, Ms. Ashraf served as a law clerk for a firm in Virginia, concentrating on practice in Virginia Courts. These experiences have allowed her to excel towards successfully advocating for her clients.
Prior to joining Portner & Shure, she practiced criminal defense, handling traffic infractions and misdemeanors in Northern Virginia counties. Ms. Ashraf’s practice focuses primarily on criminal defense and personal injury matters in Virginia courts. Ms. Ashraf also has native proficiency in Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu, allowing her to effectively represent and communicate with clients from the Indian and Pakistani communities.
