When you are injured in a car accident, the most important thing to do first is to seek medical treatment. It is very important to make sure your injuries are well documented by a doctor and that treatment begins as close to the date of the accident as possible. Any gap in time between accident and treatment can hurt your case. Next, it is important to hire an experienced law firm to handle your case and take care of everything for you. An experienced law firm has the ability to negotiate a favorable settlement with the insurance companies, or litigate the case in Court if the insurance company does not offer a fair settlement amount.
